I could not have been happier with the results.

This was Splash of Scotch one of my brood mares a few days after she had destroyed her leg on what I will never know as the paddocks are so clean. But a good horse will always find something to hurt themselves on.

For the first week or so I had the leg wrapped with honey and huge amounts of bandages. Because of the position of the damage it was hard to keep the bandages in place so had to rethink things. And yes reading one of the Horses and People Magazine there was the answer I thought.  I was worried as it was a really bad injury, very deep and in a bad position on the joint so risk of permanent damage to the joint. I started to use the proud aid and could not believe what a great product this was. In the past I had used proud aid on much smaller injures and it worked well, but I have to say with an injury this size I was concerned. But as you can see by the photo this injury has healed well. It took about 5 to 6 months but I could not have been happier with the results. The mare has no permanent damage and is about to drop her foal.
